AND TESTIMONIES OF INDIVIDUAL CHRISTIANS ARE SUBJECTED TO SCIENTIFIC SCRUTINY BUT SHE BELIEVES IN THE CAPACITY OF A PRIEST TO TURN HOST INTO CHRIST'S BODY, even a priest like Oluoma who does not believe in miracles and don't perform anyone outside of the eucharistic dimension.
The assertion above is not really accurate; the Catholic Church belongs to the ancient ecclesiastical mission that emphasize that faith is embedded of the Christological and the apostolic teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ and the apostles rather than solely relying on dramatic experiences or "testimonies" of individuals as some other Christian denominations might highlight.
31% of Catholics don't know that the church teaches that during mass the host literally turns to the body of Christ (Pew Research Center, 2019).
Even when the corpus of Catholics Catechism teaches Metousiosis — the literal transubstantiation of the inner reality of the bread wine into the body and blood of Christ (Paragraph 1413, Catholic Catechism).
Even at that it shouldn't be the priest alone, for all believers are Royal Priests, who are authorized to break bread and bless the wine in their homes (Acts 2:46).
For priests to do that smells of religion, to indoctrinate, rather than to build up the body.
There has never been anytime the bread and wine were subjected to scientific test to prove a change in the internal texture of the objects, despite the Aristotelian depth of the theology, the notion of accident as incidental features during transubstantiation.
In the mass, there is no liturgical space for the faithful to share their testimonies to avoid lies and distractions because many priests want to subject their individual testimonies to scientific scrutiny.
During Benediction, there is no space for the laity to share their testimonies to avoid waste of precious time.
During stations of the cross, there's no room for the flock to share their testimonies.
During Block Rosary there is no time for testimonies. Children could sing folktales.
No one comes from the pew to talk about visa, deliverance, or travel testimonies. You cannot hear that a drunkard stopped drinking after encountering Jesus Christ. Keep it to yourself. Who cares?
During charismatic programs you may see some resemblance of testimonies, exemplifying biblical Christianity, but you hardly see testimonies taking seriously.
How then can the faithful believe in your capacity to turn bread into the flesh of Jesus Christ? That's why those who fight miracles are mostly priests. They don't know who they are and how much they fail Christ by their inactive faith.
That's what gave birth to adoration programs where people can really see the move of the Holy Ghost in the atmosphere of the miraculous, and people are allowed to come out to testify.
This makes the soft men such as Fadas Mentor, Oluoma and Ugwu so unhappy. They don't want believers to see practical experience and work of faith. They tell you they believe in miracles, but they do none, and they brag about their soft faith, just to keep many from believing. This is because they don't want to quit drinking and living normal casual nominal lives void of power and testimonies. You can't have the faith of Christ without being moved to deliver the captives.
That's why:
If you tell Mr. Oluoma that your tumor disappeared during a church service, he will mock you.
If you tell him, you got pregnant without your tubes, he will not believe it.
If you tell him you were healed of Sickle Cell anemia, he will write you off as crazy.
If you tell him your bones were healed during a crusade he would laugh at you.
If you tell his wondrous followers that your SS turned to AA, they will caricaturize your experience.
If you tell his well-robed Bishop that you miraculously found a bundle of money in your house that you didn't keep, they will question your miracle money.
If you tell Kelvin Ugwu that your grandfather used to force rain to stop with leaves, and also commanded animals to appear and talk, he will call you an illiterate.
Yet in the Holy Bible rain was stopped for 3 and half years, animals spoke, money was found in the belly of the fish, Aaron's rod swallowed snakes, the spirit of Samuel was invoked by a mere witch, the barren gave birth, a man was turned to an animal, blood hemorrhage was stopped, the dead were raised, the blind were made to see, the poor were made rich, the rich buried the body of Jesus, Elymas was made blind for doubting and attempting to corrupt the faith.
How can we say we base our faith on the acts of the apostles, yet when we can't grow in grace enough to do greater things than they, we resort to baseless, Christless, stoicism and skepticism?
Fada Oluoma how can you pray to turn bread to the body of Jesus Christ, without asking for scientific proof, but you want scientific proof for all miracles? Did Jesus Christ do that?
What are we afraid of?
Will you?
