Take a brief look at the Bank of
England. It is the central bank of the United Kingdom. King has improved that
organisation and the country as well. BoE has succeeded in several of its
functions. In British Economics there is what is regarded as Quantity Easing
(QE). Today it is boosting growth in the UK economy and also sustaining price
stability which is one of the functional goals of every Central bank. The
chicken and Turkey I bought in London in 20009 still have the same price in
2014. The same is the Federal Reserve in the United States. It strives to
maintain price stability and free flow of credit. Since the past five years in
Nigeria the price of Garri and goat-head have been moving from glory to glory.
Just name one policy Sanusi has instituted to boost Nigeria’s price stability
and SME.
Sanusi is a beautiful failure,
but our people do not know it. Every ATM in Nigeria at one point or the other
does not work. Banks act aggressively to customers. Banks sack employees at will.
Our stockholders are yet to be settled. Price instability and inflation bewilders every economist. Dividends are dead in Nigeria, yet
Sanusi claims to be an achiever and a great man. His outrageous involvement in
politics and in donations to the North make him a political gigolo. He does
not respect his functions.
If
Nigeria were to be the US, by now Sanusi Lamido Sanusi would have resigned honourably.
As a gentleman he claims to be, he would have resigned even during the scandal
about his affair with a married women. This one beats my sense of outrage, SLS
has no ethical nor legal corroboration for lying against the Presidency, NNPC
and other finance departments. This guy endangered the whole economy and still
claims to be a risk manager.
Obviously, Sanusi is really afraid of unemployment. He can as well register with Mercy Culture, we shall help him find another job in Sokoto or Saudi Arabia. For all I know, SLS violated the CBN Act of 2007. First of all, he failed to submit the audit accounts of 2012, first in history of the bank. SLS was the first CBN governor alleged to have employed his girlfriend. Also, SLS erroneously accused the government of a nation he is working for via a badly written letter that was made public. Isn’t that outrageously unethical? On the grounds of ethics GEJ has the right to sack SLS.

In his dreams.
