"As long as an heir is a child, he is no better off than a slave, even though he owns everything." Galatians 4:1
An heir in Christ owns everything allocated to Jesus Christ as God’s son (Huios).
Unfortunately, as long he is a child — boy in this case — he is no better than a slave. A slave in this context has no authority over the elements, over demons, and doesn't yet see the inheritance. He can’t expect a miracle.
The Bible teaches in the epistles that the life every believer has is the same life that Christ has, a nature divine, a nature inherited.
I call Fada Angelo a boy because he doesn’t know that miracles and prophecies, done, or expected, are acts that underscore the divinity we inherited in Christ.
We are joint-heirs. Did Christ not expect miracles? Did Christ not do miracles? Christ did 37 miracles. Jesus expected us to do so and he gave us power to do so.
In scripture, "huios" (Greek for "son") and "heir" are closely linked, with "huios" often implying a son's right to inheritance, and believers in Christ are described as being "heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ".
“Huios" (Son) in Scripture is used in the New Testament to denote a male offspring, but it also carries the meaning of a son who is mature and capable, who does what his father does. Hallelujah.
That’s why I call him a boy, who has not yet matured to do miracles, and to teach others to do so, to expect so and to prophecy.
Teknon on the other hand is the word used to describe our place in the family of God as His children (John 1:12; 11:52; Romans 8:16, 21; Philippians 2:15; Ephesians 5:1; 1 John 3:1; 5:2). It reminds us that we have a permanent place in the heart of God. “Tek'non" focuses more on the natural relationship of a child to a parent, while "huios" implies a recognised status and legal privileges reserved for sons.
Huios embodies a legal relationship that gives a grown son that maturity, power, strength to exercise the blessings, glory honor and riches of God’s grace stipulated in his inheritance in Jesus Christ. He is never a slave. He better than a child. He knows his right.
This is what makes him perform miracles as Jesus, Peter, Paul and Philip. He inherited that power. Heir refers to huios, one that has a lineage with another. “Joseph, son (Huios) of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for what is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit". Matthew 1:20.
God speaking in Matthew 3:17 declares from heaven, "This is my beloved Son (Huios), with whom I am well pleased.” This was after he had matured. God’s words are for a reason.
So, FADA ANGELO is still a boy until he begins to do what Christ did; which would indicate that he partakes in the inheritance of Christ as St Patrick, Ebuka-Obi, Mbaka and many Huios have exhibited.
Which inheritance are we talking about?
First Peter 1:4 describes this inheritance further, saying that we have been born again "into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you." What is Peter saying?
John clarifies it in the revelation he had. Through his victory over death and sin Jesus Christ received 7 dimensions of inheritance proclaimed kerygmatically by the hosts of heaven at His arrival in heaven: See, in Revelation 5:12, “the heavenly beings declare "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing!"
This verse highlights Jesus's worthiness to receive these attributes because of his sacrifice, emphasising his divine authority and the blessings that flow from his victory. It is the church, its members He received those attributes for because we are joint-heirs with him; as it pleases the father whom He reconciled us to.
The verse lists seven attributes that Jesus is deemed worthy to receive:
Power: Authority and ability to do miracles and do God’s will, and to bind the devil. (Luke 10:19; Matthew 18:18)
Riches: Great possessions and wealth.
Wisdom: Knowledge and understanding.
Strength: Might and power to resist the devil.
Honor: Esteem and respect from humanity.
Glory: Great fame and praise.
Blessing: To be well spoken of.
This is the fulfillment of the prophecy delivered by David in Psalm 16, "Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup; / you make my lot secure. / The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; / surely I have a delightful inheritance" (Psalm 16:5–6).
This 7 Kingdom inheritance is unique to the believer and it is a heritage which should govern our daily existence as the beloved of God who are believers in Christ. Not just believers in Jesus Christ but joint-heirs. As a believer in Christ, one is considered as a "joint heir with Christ," meaning you share in the same inheritance and blessings as Jesus, as stated in Romans 8:17.
“Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.” Romans 8:17
It means what Christ has, power and strength for example, you have that also. Strength to do great work; strength to farm; strength to transact, strength to preach and do good business and good work; strength to help others, strength to do build others and to do exploits in the order Jesus Christ did. When he involved with Peter at the fishing river, they caught plenty, with an extraordinary strength.
Joint-heir makes more sense than co-heir. It means that the power to do miracles in Christ is in us. The riches, wisdom, strength, honor, glory and blessings are for us as far as we are in Christ Jesus.
A believer is complete in Christ Jesus. Baptized, buried, planted in Him: like the branch of the Vine, he bears fruits, performs miracles and signs as Jesus Christ did.
Our residence in Christ (The Anointed One) is a great place of daily experiences of miracles, signs and wonders. Of wisdom and blessings. Of honor and glory and riches.
Look at the flourishing churches today: they all showcase these dimensions of inheritance and are quite enviable. Just as Paul, Philip, Peter flourished in the Acts of the Apostles, replicating the 37 Acts of Jesus in the four gospels.
www.GotQuestions.org puts it this way, “The term heirs of God emphasizes our relationship to God the Father. As His children, we have “an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade . . . kept in heaven” (1 Peter 1:4). The Greek term translated “heirs” in Romans 8:17refers to “those who receive their allotted possession by right of sonship.” In other words, because God has made us His children (see John 1:12), we have full rights to receive His inheritance. We are His beneficiaries (see Matthew 25:34; Galatians 3:29; Colossians 1:12; 3:24).”
The reasons why I say he is young man/boy is because the following statements by the Lord were not factored in his post:
Jesus Christ commanded that we go do miracles — “As you go, preach this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven is near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give." Matthew 10:7-8
Jesus Christ gave us power just as he received it: “Then Jesus called the Twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and power to cure diseases. / And He sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick." Luke 9:1-2.
Jesus Christ prophesied that , ..”these signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; / they will pick up snakes with their hands, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not harm them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will be made well." Mark 16:17-18"
How can a mature believer in the Anointed One, tell fellow believers not to expect miracles and prophecies?
Peter worked in that inheritance before it was revealed to John the beloved in the Island of Patmos: Acts 5:15-16 “As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on cots and mats, so that at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by. / Crowds also gathered from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing the sick and those tormented by unclean spirits, and all of them were healed."
Acts 3:6-8
"But Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!” / Taking him by the right hand, Peter helped him up, and at once the man’s feet and ankles were made strong. / He sprang to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and leaping and praising God."
Every miracle done by the believer is a fulfillment of prophecy: Jesus's prophecy! :John 14:12 “Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever believes in Me will also do the works that I am doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.”
To tell believers not to expect a miracle or listen to prophecy is a sure sign of negligence of the gifts of the Holy Ghost as Paul adumbrated in 1 Corinthians 12:9-10 "to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, / to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in various tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. "
Paul speaks from experience. He lived in the miraculous, the prophetic and the apostolic as Acts 19:11-12 clarifies :
"God did extraordinary miracles through the hands of Paul, / so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and the diseases and evil spirits left them".
Disciples such as Philip lived in the miraculous as well manifested the prophecy of Jesus Christ. In one occasion Philip translocated, just as Jesus Christ did: In Acts8:6-7 the bible records that "The crowds all paid close attention to Philip’s message and to the signs they saw him perform. / With loud shrieks, unclean spirits came out of many who were possessed, and many of the paralyzed and lame were healed."
What kind of gospel did Fada Angelo receive? Is it the same Gospel Paul and Silas received. Many believers are in crisis because of lack of mature faith in Christ.
Your good news for them is they should not expect a miracle or prophecy? That they should pray for God to bless them: Is God blessing incapable of bringing miracles to come to pass?
Why do you want to be like the scribes and Pharisees that can't enter and can't allow others to enter as well?
If you can't perform miracles, if you don't have faith for the miraculous, if you can't stretch like Moses, or Elisha, let others move in faith for the miraculous and for their prophecy to manifest.
An heir who is a child is not better than a slave — he can’t inherit power, not to talk of riches or glory on earth.
In your mind, 2 Kings 5:14 can't reoccur ever again; why did Jesus rise then?
Why did Elisha believe then? Why should an old Testament man like Naaman believe in the miraculous but a New Testament cleric who turns bread and wine into flesh and blood not believe? "So Naaman went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times, according to the word of the man of God, and his flesh was restored and became like that of a little child, and he was clean." That’s an Old Testament prophet.
Brethren, Mark 16;18 and Luke 10:9 should be cited in this context. This is God's mandate everyday for every believer. To operate in the miraculous. To show forth His immense goodness and power. To win souls to the Kingdom.
